MHWirth’s pile top drill rigs are the most efficient solution for deep and large diameter drilling in various geological formations for onshore and offshore applications, capable of achieving pile diameters from 0.6 m to 7.0 m and drilling depths of up to 500 m.
Our reputable reverse circulation (air-lift) drilling method set standards for cost effectiveness and versatility.
Designed for a multitude of applications, our equipment is suitable for foundation drillings for metro foundations, high-rise buildings, bridges and port constructions, reinforcement drillings for water dam restoration and offshore foundation drilling for windmills and platforms, in addition to shaft drilling for mining applications.
MHWirth’s PBA 818/2500/300 pile top drill rigs provide solid foundations for bridges or bridge extensions. Various drilling diameters can be supplied according to your specific project requirements.
With a modular design and a flexible set-up, MHWirth’s pile top drill rigs allow you to drill closer to existing walls than any other machine. This makes them a perfect solution for tight job sites. The picture shows a Wirth™ PBA 936 drilling ventilation shaft with 3 m in diameter and up to 90 m depth for a metro tunnel in Hong Kong in hard granite with 230 MPa.
MHWirth’s PBA 615 pile top drill rig in operation at the Mumbai Port extension project. For construction of the 2,500 m long approach trestle more than 600 piles with 1.2 m in diameter are currently drilled at a drilling depth of up to 45 m. The PBA 615 combines a small footprint with light weight and increased performance.
